Blood blisters on the tongue, also known as Angina bullosa haemorrhagica, present as small sacs filled with blood, causing discomfort, especially during eating or speaking. Trauma from biting, hot foods, infections like herpes simplex, or allergies can trigger their formation. Although usually benign, persistent or enlarging blisters may indicate oral cancer.
